March 1 public meeting to kick off master plan for Southwest Community Park

The Naperville Park District invites residents to a public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Fort Hill Activity Center to begin the master planning process for its last, large-scale undeveloped park - Southwest Community Park.

After a presentation by the park district's consultant and staff, residents will have the opportunity to provide ideas for park amenities and recreational activities for 30-acre Southwest Community Park, located at 3252 Wolf's Crossing Road.

Community input is an essential component of developing the Southwest Community Park Master Plan. For those who wish to share their ideas and are unable to attend the public meeting, a comment section will be available on the Naperville Park District's website at www.napervilleparks.org from Friday, March 2 through Friday, March 9.

"Southwest Community Park will serve the entire community, as well as residents who live in the southwest area of the city," said Executive Director Ray McGury. "We encourage residents to attend the meeting and to let us know their opinions and insight so that the master plan will better reflect the needs and wants of the community."

Fort Hill Activity Center is located at 20 Fort Hill Drive. The meeting will take place on the first floor in the multipurpose rooms.
