"My team and I are excited by the growth in size of the chapter and the new projects that we will be launching in 2018," said Barbara Cima, Palatine Jaycee President. "The Palatine Jaycees have always been involved in our community with projects like our Fourth of July celebration, Hometown Fest, our annual Easter Egg Hunt and our annual Christmas tree sale. We have also started new community initiatives in the past few years, such as Fit Family Field Day and STEM fairs. All of the profits from our projects are donated back into the community in the form of donations, scholarships, grants and community events. With the new members that are joining and their contributions to the chapter, look for more Jaycee projects and donations in the Palatine area."

The Palatine Chapter of the Jaycees, one of 50 local chapters throughout Illinois, has over 130 members and is one of the largest chapters in Illinois. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community and have been recognized state-wide, nationally and internationally for their efforts.

The Palatine Chapter holds its monthly general meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM at the American Legion Hall on Palatine Road in Palatine.
