Candidate Forums

League of Women Voters to Host Candidate Forums

The League of Women Voters will hold candidate forums for three contested Primary Election races on Saturday, March 3, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM. The forums will take place at the Community Recreation Center, 3000 Glenview Road, Wilmette. The forums are co-sponsored by the Evanston, Glenview/ Glencoe, Wilmette and Winnetka-Northfield-Kenilworth Leagues.

The forum will begin at 9:00 am with Republican candidates for the 9th Congressional District. Candidates include John D. Elleson, Maxell Rice, Sargis Sangari and D. Vincent Thomas Jr. Five Democratic candidates for the 17th State Representative District race will follow in a forum at 10:10 am. They include Candance Chow, Pete Dagher, Alexandra Eidenberg, Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz and Mary Rita Luecke. At 11:20 am, 13th Cook County Commissioner District Democratic candidates, including Bushra Amiwala, Daniel Foster and Larry Suffredin will respond to questions.

The public will be able to submit written questions for the candidates at the forum.
