Long Grove's Cocoa Crawl warms up the winter scene

Long Grove's inaugural Cocoa Crawl celebrates winter - and the local scene.

From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, village merchants are teaming up to create a new free, family-friendly event. Guests will start at the Visitor's Center, 308 Old McHenry Road, where they'll pick up a map of participating businesses.

All 19-plus stops around town will be serving something cocoa-related - from hot cocoa beverages to hot chocolate snacks. Participants can stop by as many spots as they like and come back to the Visitor's Center to vote on their favorite and be entered into a raffle for prizes donated by participants.

Raffles will be drawn the following week and winners notified via Facebook and email.
