Woodlands Academy to host Top Chef event for girls

Top Chef International, an event allowing sixth- and seventh-grade girls from area schools to experience other cultures by creating and then enjoying representative foods, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 24, at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, 760 E. Westleigh Road, Lake Forest.

Participants will join Mr. Steve, the all-girls college preparatory high school's chef, to cook dishes from around the world and, in the process, learn new cooking skills to share with family and friends.

Online registration for this free event is being accepted until Friday, Feb. 16. To register or for more information, visit www.woodlandsacademy.org/top-chef-international, or contact Amy Perlick, Woodlands' global education director, at aperlick@woodlandsacademy.org or (847) 234-4300.
