Barbershop quartets will deliver singing valentines

Traditional valentine gifts may be candy, flowers and jewelry, but your friend or loved one will always remember a barbershop quartet serenading them at work, school, home or a restaurant.

Quartets from the Chorus of DuPage can be hired to deliver a singing valentine on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

A standard singing valentine costs $50, which includes two songs sung in four-part barbershop harmony, a single rose and a card with the sender's personal message. Singing Valentines are available for delivery until 8 p.m. and, for an additional $25, valentines can be arranged for a more specific window of time.

For valentines who live too far away for an in-person delivery, but can be reached by phone, the chorus offers a "ringing" valentine. Ringing Valentines, $25, feature two songs and are delivered by telephone between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. central time.
