Learn about Isle Royale National Park at Senior Stroll program

While it's cold outside, area seniors are invited inside Barbara Belding Lodge at Brewster Creek Forest Preserve to learn about Isle Royale National Park, as part of the monthly "Senior Stroll" program series.

On Thursday, Feb. 1, join a travelogue with naturalist Barb McKittrick about her visit to Isle Royale National Park - a place of isolation and wilderness - surrounded by the icy waters of Lake Superior. You'll learn about the Isle Royale wolf/moose project, the longest continuous study of any predator-prey system in the world. McKittrick also will talk about the unique geology, wildlife, plant life and cultural history of the remote island archipelago.

This program will be 10 a.m. to noon. They will provide the snacks. Registration is not required for this free program. All seniors are welcome to join them for festivities, fellowship and more.

The Barbara Belding Lodge is located within Brewster Creek Forest Preserve at 6N921 Route 25, St. Charles.
