New art exhibit at Bartlett Village Hall gallery

Arts in Bartlett is sponsoring the new exhibit "Colors of Life" featuring paintings by artist Promila Kumar.

The exhibit will on display during gallery hours from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays through Friday, March 2, at the Bartlett Village Hall 2nd Floor Gallery, 228 Main St., Bartlett.

Kumar is a contemporary artist with multimedia art pieces. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts from an accredited university in India. She owned and operated an art gallery in India for 15 years. All of Kumar'a paintings have bright and vibrant colors to give life-like effects. She uses several different types of material in her art pieces to create a 3-D effect. Kumar's paintings are in homes and business all over the world.

All are welcome to attend the artist reception for Kumar from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Bartlett Village Hall, in the 2nd Floor Gallery, 228 S. Main St.
