Elgin Knights of Columbus donate funds for ultrasound machine

The Elgin Knights of Columbus, Monsignor Henry Schryer Council 654 recently donated funds to TLC Pregnancy Services in Elgin.

"We're grateful to the Knights of Columbus for the generous donation toward a new ultrasound machine," said Vivian Maley, executive director of the center. "This was substantial expense not in our budget at this time."

The donation contributed by Elgin Council No. 654 was matched by the Knights of Columbus brotherhood to bring the total to over $20,000.

TLC officials say the funds will be used to purchase a new unit for their mobile van.

"We are grateful to be partner with TLC in this helping purchase equipment to serve our area," said Chris Gulik, Grand Knight, Elgin Council No. 654.
