Winter Wine Walk in Wheaton

The holidays are over, and winter has set in, but that's no reason to stay inside.

The Downtown Wheaton Association is sponsoring its inaugural Wheaton Winter Wine Walk from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, in downtown Wheaton.

The event will feature many downtown merchants offering wines from around the world. Participants can sip, stroll and shop their way through downtown.

Tastings begin at the Downtown Wheaton Association offices at 108 Wesley St. where participants will check in and pick up their wineglass and swag bag along with a walking map to all the tasting locations.

Participants may enjoy 12 one-ounce tastings in their souvenir wineglass. The Wheaton Winter Wine Walk happens rain, snow or shine.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the event. Additional tastings will be available for purchase at the event and will cost $5 for three one-ounce pours.

Participants must be 21 and present their picture ID at check-in to confirm their age.

If participants are feeling creative, they can purchase a ticket for The Sipping Muse Paint & Sip event immediately following the Wine Walk. They will get a painting tutorial and create a souvenir. The cost event is $40.
