ECC invites community to provide feedback on nursing program at Feb. 21 meeting

Elgin Community College will host an on-site review meeting for continuing accreditation of its Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

The accreditation is given to institutions whose programs meet or exceed standards and criteria for educational quality, and assists in further program development and innovation. The meeting, which will include the ACEN site visit team, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 in Building A, Room 104, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Current students, alumni, local healthcare professionals, District 509 residents and other members of the community who have experience with the nursing program are invited to share their comments, feedback and insights with the ACEN during the meeting.

Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted directly to: Dr. Marsal Stoll, Chief Executive Officer, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA, 30326; or sent via email to mstoll@acenursing.org.

Written comments must be received by Feb. 14, 2018.
