Preschoolers Participate in Annual Goddard Toy Test

The adorable preschoolers at The Goddard School in Third Lake took on the job of a lifetime this fall-toy testers!

The 2017 Goddard School Preschooler-Approved Toy Test took place at select Goddard Schools nationwide during the week of September 25th and engaged children from infants to six years old to play with interactive toys while teachers observed and documented how the toys rated among the judging criteria: interactivity, skill development, creative inspiration and more. The children then casted their votes to determine the Top 10 Preschooler-Approved Toys. Participating notable toy brands included Melissa & Doug, Hape, Faber-Castell, K'NEX, Fat Brain Toys, Peaceable Kingdom, Learning Resources and many more.

On November 1st the results were revealed just in time for holiday shopping season! The winning toy for the 2017 holiday season is Melissa & Doug® Star Diner Restaurant Play Set. The Goddard School's parent company, Goddard Systems Inc., will be purchasing 100 units of this ultra-fun play set to donate to Toys for Tots to help children in unfortunate circumstances enjoy the magic of the holiday season.
