Aurora Public Library to offer yoga program for teens, adults

New Year's resolutions often include a resolve to improve body and mind, and yoga can help with both! The Aurora Public Library will be offering "YouTube Yoga" programs in January. These sessions will be aimed at teens and adults.

Attendees at "YouTube Yoga" will watch and follow along with a 45- to 60-minute video of a gentle yoga routine.

These videos will come from the channel "Yoga With Adriene," a longtime channel run by a young yoga instructor based out of Austin, Texas.

Participants should bring their own water and yoga mats and wear comfy clothing which is easy to move around in.

No instructors will be present, so participants should be mindful of their limits and not try to force themselves into any painful positions. "YouTube Yoga" will have three sessions in January - two at the Eola Road Branch and one at the Santori Library.

The first session will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Eola Road Branch, 555 S. Eola Road, followed by the second session from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, also at the Eola Road Branch.

The third session will be 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Santori Library, 101 S. River St., Aurora.
