Naperville man joins Edward Foundation board

Longtime Naperville resident Louis Sands has been named to the Edward Foundation board of trustees.

Sands is the tax managing director of Sikich, LLP, a Naperville-based professional services firm specializing in accounting, technology and managed services. He previously held similar positions at Plante & Moran, PLLC; KPMG, LLP and Sara Lee Corporation.

Sands holds a doctoral degree in law from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a bachelor's in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He serves on the Edward Foundation Planned Giving Task Force and is a commissioner in the St. Raphael youth football organization. He previously served on the Grace United Methodist Church board of trustees, Naperville Community Television board of directors and Edward Hospital Parent Advisory Board.

Since it was established in 1990, the Edward Foundation has raised more than $46.5 million in its mission to support Edward Hospital's community health care initiatives, invest in the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, recruit world-class medical professionals and deliver the highest quality care to almost 1.7 million patients within the area it serves.
