Palatine Park District to Host Job Fair at Community Center on January 8

Palatine Park District offers opportunities for many part-time year-round and seasonal positions in a variety of different areas, including aquatics, athletics, parks, facilities, and programming. The District's first Job Fair will be held at Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street, in Palatine on Monday, January 8 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The event provides the opportunity for attendees to meet supervisors and learn more about the various positions currently available.

Year-round positions in programming often coincide with the District's seasonal program catalog. Program instructors are needed for before and after school child care, early childhood, cultural arts, and parent/tot courses. Parks and facility staff are needed in customer service, bartending, groundskeeping, and more. The District also offers opportunities at several specialty facilities, including Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, Palatine Hills Golf Course, and Palatine Stables.

Summer seasonal positions offer students and teachers the opportunity to work poolside at the District's outdoor aquatics facilities. Lifeguards, pool managers, swim instructors, and pool attendants are just a few of the positions offered. For those seeking part-time work in aquatics beyond the summer months, the Tiger Sharks Swim Team coaching positions might be a good fit. Other seasonal employment offerings include field supervisors, horticulture, camp counselors, camp site directors, and coaches.

Jobs range from entry level to experience required. Some positions have age restrictions, or require a physical and drug screening. For a list of current openings, visit palatineparks.org and select Job Opportunities under the Jobs tab. Attendees will receive a free Job Fair Passport eligible for a raffle prize when stamped at the three tables indicated.
