Elmhurst Animal Care Center, Magnificent Mutts & Meows Rescue to host 'Yoga: Cats & Mats'

Save the date for "Yoga: Cats & Mats!" With the goal of encouraging wellness and developing healthy habits in the new year, Elmhurst Animal Care Center has teamed up with Magnificent Mutts & Meows Rescue for a fun, feline-filled yoga class!

Elmhurst Animal Care Center reached out to Linda Latelle, founder of the rescue to create a collaborative event!

Magnificent Meows was happy to participate. Yogis and feline enthusiasts are invited to the event from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at Elmhurst Animal Care Center, 850 S. Riverside Drive in Elmhurst.

Cats and kittens available for adoption will be wandering the room while the beginner level yoga class is taught. Guests must bring their own mat, towel and water, and are invited to enjoy complimentary mimosas after the class! Registration is a $15 donation to Magnificent Mutts & Meows Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Space is limited, to reserve your spot, visit www.magnificentmutts.org/yoga2018/.

Staff from Elmhurst Animal Care Center, longtime partners for veterinary services for Magnificent Mutts & Meows, will be on hand to partake in the fun. The two groups work closely throughout the year to raise awareness for rescue animals, as well as donations for the rescue to continue to offer their assistance to animals in need. Latelle has been rescuing animals all of her life and started Magnificent Mutts in 2001, rescuing thousands of animals since her start.
