Elgin Parks to hold job fair for part-time and seasonal work

The City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a job fair for part-time and seasonal employment on Tuesday, Dec. 19. The fair will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Heritage Ballroom at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the part time and seasonal job opportunities the Parks and Recreation Department will have available in the upcoming year. Some of these positions may start immediately and some may be seasonal jobs starting in the spring and summer.

This is a great opportunity for interested high school students, college students and adults to get an early jump on securing a job for 2018. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about potential job opportunities, talk with the hiring supervisors, and schedule potential interviews.

Positions that applications are currently accepting for include: activity supervisor, playground supervisor, camp counselor, program leader, grounds laborer, soccer officials, lifeguards, and pool attendants.
