SPYRL Chicago Welcomes New Gyrotonic Instructor, Melissa Kulikauskas

SPYRL Chicago is proud to introduce their newest apprentice GYROTONIC® instructor: Melissa! Melissa is from Deerfield, Illinois, and graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health. As an avid runner with strong interests in exercise, athletics, and human anatomy, she quickly found interest in the GYROTONIC® method. Melissa discovered her calling to Gyrotonic exercises when she began working at Freedom Home Care, a senior home care business who offers Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis sessions through SPYRL to their patients.

"I am excited to begin my apprenticeship at SPYRL. I became certified because Gyrotonic has increasing my flexibility and improved my running tremendously! I wanted to expand my knowledge on the movement system so I can have an opportunity to introduce it to other people, and help others look and feel their best," said Melissa Kulikauskas, SPYRL Chicago's newest GYROTONIC® apprentice instructor.

Melissa is most enthusiastic to work with seniors. She has done a lot of work with seniors as a caregiver and has seen the positive impact that this work can have on the aging population, specifically.

"Melissa is exceptionally talented, and the timing couldn't be better as our business is growing. SPYRL has only been in business for six months, and already is making a difference in this community," said Amy Pena, SPYRL Chicago's senior instructor, studio director and trainer.

As the Gyrotonic method becomes more well-known among the North Shore, people are seeing promising results, and SPYRL Chicago is growing. The community has embraced SPYRL, attending Gyrotonic sessions and getting involved in pre-training courses to begin the process of becoming certified to teach Gyrotonic classes.

SPYRL wants to introduce Gyrotonic exercises to other individuals interested in health and wellness-based sports and activities such as golf, yoga, tennis, dance, and martial arts. If you are interested in becoming a certified Gyrotonic instructor like Melissa, Amy will be hosting a 6-day Gyrotonic Level 1 Pre-training courses at SPYRL Chicago. See dates below:
