Quentin Road Baptist Church to present 'Bethlehem's Tower'

All are invited to join Hershey the Camel and his Nativity friends, including Jack the Donkey and a dozen sheep and goats, to celebrate the meaning of Christmas at Quentin Road Baptist Church's annual Christmas pageant, "Bethlehem's Tower."

For more than 30 years, Quentin Road Baptist Church in Lake Zurich has undertaken the mission of producing a spectacular Christmas celebration that brings to life the story of Jesus' birth through a Broadway-style production.

The church presents a dynamic show full of original music, elaborate costumes and live animals, including the 8-foot-tall camel.

Another highlight of the pageant is the younger members of its cast - hundreds of children (including infants) - play a vital role.

"Bethlehem's Tower" tells the story of one shepherd boy, two weary travelers and a glorious birth that changed the world. The church invites everyone to see why thousands in the greater Chicago area make the show a part of their annual Christmas celebration.

"After over 30 years of Christmas musicals of all sizes, it is still such a thrill to share the real joy of Christmas with each one of the thousands who attend. We count it such an honor to be a family tradition," said Senior Pastor the Rev. Jim Scudder Jr., host of the international television program "Victory in Grace."

There are five performances scheduled: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15; 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16; and 1:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17.

Quentin Road Baptist Church is at 60 Quentin Road, Lake Zurich.
