Cultural Diversity to be Highlighted at Holiday Party

A free holiday party to celebrate diversity and cultural education will be hosted by Axiom Edu-Exchange on Saturday, December 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The party will take place at the Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest.

All are invited to enjoy a light lunch and soft drinks accompanied by several musical performers. Axiom Edu-Exchange promotes cultural exchange, diversity and global learning through a variety of social and educational programs.

"We are very pleased to invite the community to learn more about the value of cultural exchange and to meet other members of the community during the holiday season," said Afzal Ahmed, one of the founders of Axiom Edu-Exchange. "We value diversity and hope many of our neighbors will take this opportunity to meet one another and enjoy some food, drink and entertainment together."

Scheduled entertainment includes an introduction to Indian classical percussion (Tabla) by Sonali Shrivastava, an Indian classical vocal performance by Charu Swaminathan, and a demonstration of Persian Santur (hammered dulcimer) by Dr. Jalal Rais-Dana. Thanks in part to our co-sponsors Chhabria Law, LLC and Suve Brands, LLC, there is no charge for admission, lunch, and beverages. Interested parties are asked to RSVP to Afzal Ahmed at 224-202-1212.

The Gorton Community Center is located at 400 East Illinois Road in Lake Forest.
