Artists, artisans needed for Adler event

The David Adler Music and Arts Center announces a call for artists and artisans for the 2018 Festival of the Arts, which will be held Aug. 4 and 5 in Libertyville's historic Cook Park.

In 2018, the Adler Center will celebrate the 38th anniversary of the arts festival, as well as the centennial of the Adler estate.

"This year we will have a mix of fine artists, as well as some fine artisans," says Amy Williams, executive director. "We know the community looks forward to this event each summer, and we look forward to celebrating the centennial of the Adler estate with our community."

Libertyville's Festival of the Arts features a juried art show, family-friendly activities, live music and artisan food vendors, as well as 75 local and regional artists.

Applications will be accepted from now through April 30. For applications and more information, visit www.adlercenter.org/attend/festival.
