TriCity Health Partnership receives $53,000 donation from St. Charles Country Club members

TriCity Health Partnership is the recipient of a $53,000 donation by the members of the St. Charles Country Club.

The support will allow the clinic to continue to provide free quality health care to uninsured, low-income residents of Central Kane County.

For the past 15 years, the members of the St. Charles Country Club have held an annual Golf Charity Classic benefiting TriCity Health Partnership and Lazarus House, the local homeless shelter.

"We are continually humbled by the amazing generosity the members have given. This donation will enable the clinic to offer continued care for chronic and acute patients as well as dental needs," said executive director Kim Lamansky.

"To date, they have raised $800,000 for the clinic, and ultimately the patients we serve. This funding helps us achieve our mission of providing quality care to members of the community without the ability to pay for services.

"From free doctor visits, dental, medications, testing supplies, mammograms and more. This donation will touch the lives of hundreds of patients," Lamansky said.

TriCity Health Partnership has a long history of helping the community by providing free quality medical and dental care for residents of Central Kane County. Uninsured, low-income residents are more vulnerable to poor health outcomes because they lack access to quality health care. It has provided over 27,000 on-site visits to 6,000 individuals since its inception in 2001.

Additionally, hundreds of referrals to specialty local medical providers ensures comprehensive care for patients. Medical care is provided by volunteer medical professionals and assisted by a small staff.

By having TriCity Health Partnership available, residents are able to receive routine medical care for chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension, which - in turn - reduces complications for untreated disease. As a 501(c)3 organization, it relies on grants, sponsorships and donations to continue care.
