Hampshire-Henpeck HCE to host Christmas Luncheon Dec. 19

The Hampshire-Henpeck Unit of Home and Community Education will have a Christmas Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Jameson's,12860 Del Webb Blvd. in Huntley.

Jan Ihssen will contact members with upcoming details. They will be collecting Christmas gifts for a needy family in the area to help make this joyous holiday a little brighter for the family. A big thank you is extended to unit members for all their help at the November meeting in making door hangings for surrounding nursing homes. It was a great success and will bring some cheer to the residents.

The Philippine International Luncheon on Nov. 15 was a huge success and a special thank you is extended to Barbara Mursu and her committee for an excellent job. They also would like to thank Father Ariel Valencia, pastor of St. Peter Church in Geneva, for his excellent presentation on the Philippines. Congratulations to Claudia Lake who won first place in the arts and craft portion of the afternoon and will have her wall hanging go downstate.

Hostesses for the upcoming meeting on January 16, 2018 at Heartland Bank are Peggy Gross and Claudia Lake. All are invited to attend and your input and suggestions are very important in making the 2018 year a rewarding endeavor for all.
