Starfish Animal Rescue to host annual 'Santa Paws' benefit Dec. 10

Starfish Animal Rescue will hold its sixth annual Santa Paws fundraiser on Sunday, Dec. 10, at Riverside Pizza and Pub, 102 E. Main St. in St. Charles. The event will start at noon and continue through the Chicago Bears game.

The public is invited. Admission and parking are free. Starfish is partnering with Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary for the event.

Included will be a bake sale, raffles, gift baskets and half-priced pizza.

Founded in 2006, Plainfield-based Starfish is a licensed nonprofit rescue that mobilizes volunteers to transport dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from Harlan, Ky., for adoption in Chicago-area homes.
