St. James Episcopal celebrates 'The Wonder of Peace' for Advent

On the second Sunday of Advent, Dec. 10, Trish Ajime from Noté Karacel (Unite Together) and José Zayas from Saint Martin's Episcopal Church in Chicago will be the special guests at "The Wonder of Peace" worship at St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington St. in West Dundee. Holy Eucharist worship is at 8 a.m. and Holy Eucharist with music at 10 a.m. Nursery is available at 10 a.m.

These ministry partners will share about their ministries in Uganda and the Austin neighborhood in Chicago.

Noté Karacel assists communities to build clean water wells and provide educational opportunities that help people to become self-employed.

St. Martin's serves the west side community of Austin through worship, peace and justice projects, and the arts.

St. James invites the community to learn how these two organizations are bringing God's peace and justice and transforming communities.

St. James Episcopal Church is a historic congregation serving Northern Kane County and the Fox River Valley for 153 years. Its mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ as we welcome, teach and serve all God's people.
