Stop by Homemade for the Holidays Craft Faire Dec. 9-10

The Homemade for the Holidays Craft Faire will feature crafters, food vendors, a kids craft corner, Santa visit and story corner from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10, at the McHenry County Fairgrounds, 11900 Country Club Road, Woodstock.

This is not your everyday craft show. This is a family event that is centered around the idea of creating handmade items.

This event has more than 30 artisan vendors that have all handmade items that make perfect gifts for family and friends. There is also fun for the family, including meeting Santa, creating crafts in Kids Craft Corner, going on a storytelling hayride, and more.

Stop by one of the various demonstration areas where you can learn different skills that can be entered in the Home Art's department during the annual fair.

They also have a Holiday Open Show to help promote the open show during the fair. It has various departments that you can enter in and compete against others in the county in categories such as gingerbread houses, chocolate chip cookies, holiday decorations, Christmas tree skirt, stockings, wreaths, and more.

Admission is $3, $1 off with a nonperishable food donation to local food pantries; kids age 5 and younger are admitted free.
