Judson alumnus to speak at Fall Commencement Dec. 9

Judson University in Elgin will welcome home alumnus Shawn Flynn, Class of 1989, to speak during Fall Commencement exercises at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Herrick Chapel, 1151 N. State St.

Flynn is president and managing partner of AdPro 360, an advertising agency in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that was named one of the fastest-growing agencies in the state. With more than 20 years of experience in digital marketing, Flynn's expertise has benefited AdPro's clients helping them to become market leaders.

He also has worked for First Technology Sales in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where he became vice president of marketing and product development. He also directed product marketing at Instinet Corporation in New York City, serving clients like J.P. Morgan, Chase, Merrill Lynch, Goldman, Sachs & Co, Morgan Stanley, and other brokerage firms on Wall Street.

Flynn graduated from Judson in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in communications, and he earned a master's degree from Colorado University.

He will receive the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award during the President's Luncheon between Judson's commencement ceremonies this year.

In his spare time, Flynn is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys coaching local high school football. He and his wife, Wendy, have three children, Layton, Dylan and Kendall.
