Learn about women and financial independence in Islam
Little Home Church by the Wayside United Church of Christ, 32W128 Army Trail Road in Wayne, will offer "Deep Purses: Understanding a Woman's Financial Independence in Islam" with Rabab Gomaa from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19.
Gomaa will speak to guests on Islamic law, particularly on rulings regarding women. She has her degree in Islamic Studies and is currently working on her Ph.D. She is a widely experienced speaker and an educator with special interests in comparative religious studies, Islamic law, religious history and women's studies.
