Last weekend for Elgin Theatre Company's holiday radio show

This weekend, the Elgin Theatre Company will wrap up production of "An Elgin Old Tyme Holiday Radio Show," featuring three radio shows perfect for the entire family.

The Friday and Saturday performances start at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinee starts at 2 p.m. This is the first production of the theater's 2017-18 season.

All performances will be held at the Elgin Art Showcase, 164 Division St., 8th floor, in downtown Elgin. Tickets are $18 and $15 for seniors and youth.

There will be a staged reading of "Miracle on 34th Street," in the style of a 1940s radio show. In this Christmas classic, Doris Walker, a no-nonsense Macy's executive, desperately searches for a new store Santa. She hires Kriss Kringle who insists that he's the real Santa Claus. But he has many skeptics, including Doris and her young daughter, Susan. So Kris must go to court to try and prove it. Is he the real Santa Claus?

In "Archie Andrew's Christmas Shopping," there is mass confusion results when Archie, his parents and all his friends go Christmas shopping at the same time in the same department store.

In "Fibber Paints a Christmas Tree White," Fibber is too cheap to pay $10 for a white-painted Christmas tree and decides to do it himself with the expected comic consequences.

The cast include: Angela Lebovic, Ashley Harrington, Ben Calhoun, Bert Jobe, Bryan Pedigo, Caleb Slattery, Carlo Pobianco, Dan Angsurat, Dan Arthur, Dennis Stewart, Devon Elizabeth, Dwight Brown, Ed Dennis, Elizabeth Dawson, Faith Hollander, Gloria Avarez, Guy Moore, Harry Davis, Heidi Jobe, Holly Jobe, Jan Dennis, Jenn Marshall, John Di Leo, Linda Browne, Lucas Harrington, Madeline Franklin, Neal Heatherly, Renee Merrill, Rick Hollander, Shirley Jobe, Shirley May Byrnes and William Petersen.

The producer is Richard Grieger and the director is Julie Price.
