Vendors can apply for Nature Arts and Crafts Show

Enjoy the spirit of Christmas at the Schweitzer Environmental Center's annual Nature Arts and Crafts Show from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the center, 16N900 Sleepy Hollow Road, West Dundee.

Artisans will sell nature-themed items or natural and organic products. Refreshments and evergreen floral arrangements will be for sale to benefit the center. The event is free to the public.

Vendor tables are available for $25 and can be booked by calling (815) 356-6605.

The Schweitzer house and 190 acres of forest, fields, wetlands and a dog park were bequeathed in a giving spirit to Kane County Forest Preserve District by Emily Schweitzer. The area is now the Schweitzer Woods, and the house is maintained by the Friends of the Fox River.

Friends of the Fox River board member Debbie Bertolami said, "We are happy to host this annual event to put a little nature into everyone's holiday season."
