Parent series presents 'The Gift of Failure'

Parents can share their thoughts and opinions on the book "The Gift of Failure: How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Children Can Succeed," by Jessica Lahey, in a discussion sponsored by the Glenbard Parent Series and the Glen Ellyn Public Library.

Gilda Ross, Glenbard High School District 87 student and community projects coordinator, and Glen Ellyn School District 41 school board member Erica Nelson will lead the book chat at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane St.

Lahey will speak in a Glenbard Parent Series event at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Lahey will discuss the best way to motivate students to own their education, learn deeply and develop resilience.

She also will give a presentation at noon Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Marquardt Elementary District 15 Administration Center, 1860 Glen Ellyn Road, Glendale Heights.
