Advocate Sherman Hospital to host 'Man Up! For Men's Health'

Enjoy free food, cash bar, and skipping the gym - all in the name of men's health. Advocate Sherman Hospital will be hosting their community event "Man Up! For Men's Health," benefiting the Sherman Men's Health Alliance on Thursday, Nov. 2. It will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Porter's Pub at Bowes Creek Country Club, 1250 Bowes Creek Road in Elgin.

This event is aimed at raising awareness about men's health. Attendees will have the opportunity to chat one-on-one with Advocate Sherman physicians and get their healthy questions answered, all while enjoying food and a cash bar.

The following Advocate Sherman physicians will be attending the event:

• Dr. Ahmad, pulmonologist;

• Dr. John Brems, surgeon and surgical director of the Center for Advanced Liver and Pancreatic Care;

• Dr. Chirag Dholakia, surgeon, general/robotic;

• Dr. Jim Griffin, surgeon, urology;

• Dr. Kazaglis, surgeon, orthopedic;

• Dr. Nick Kunio, surgeon, general/robotic;

• Dr. Azmey Matarieh, cardiologist;

• Dr. Aaron Polito, surgeon, cardiovascular;

• Dr. Timothy Roth, surgeon, urology.

This event is free to the community; however, raffle tickets and shirt purchases are encouraged to raise funds for Sherman Men's Health Alliance to help men in need receive colonoscopies.
