'Trick or Treat' your way around Spring Valley this Halloween

Discover nature's tricks and treats while collecting candy throughout Spring Valley.

Youngsters are invited to trick-or-treat from 3 to 6 p.m., Oct. 31, at the Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road and Volkening Heritage Farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road. Visitors will explore the nooks of the Nature Center and travel from building to building at Heritage Farm gathering goodies along the way. Wagon rides between the two sites also will be available.

"What better place to take your kids trick-or-treating than a nature center where they can walk the trails and see friendly creatures in costumes?" said Dave Brooks, manager of Spring Valley. "There's nothing scary here."

Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
