Teen panel to talk about social media

Parenting in the digital age can be a challenge. But what challenges do young people face as they grow up in this tech world?

Find out what teens themselves have to say when the Glenbard Parent Series presents Straight from the Source: Teens Talk Social Media Now with Liz Repking and Linda Lewaniak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Glenbard South High School, 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.

How do they stay connected and not use to excess or engage in risky behavior? Teens share their thoughts in this panel discussion. Repking, of Cyber Safety Consulting, will moderate the discussion with a cross-section of high school students.

Lewaniak, a clinician at an Eating Recovery Center, will examine the implications of social media on our teens' communication skills, empathy, anxiety and moods.
