Stop by Grace Lutheran's autumn rummage sale Nov. 3-4

Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake invites the community to its Autumn Rummage/Estate Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.

Grace Lutheran has held semi-annual sales for the past several years in the months of May and November and have been fortunate with favorable weather for many of these events.

If you are unfamiliar with Lily Lake, take a trek out to western St. Charles, just north of crossroads at Routes 64 and 47.

There are many household items for everyone's use - for your kitchen, bedroom, living room, many furniture items, seasonal decorations (the holiday season is approaching fast), tools for use in the house, garage or barn.

There will be a "half-price" sale of most items starting at noon Saturday, Nov. 4.

Many items are $1 and the popular "Fill-A-Bag for $5" with clothing also will be offered.

Bakery goods will be available for purchase. With the help of overwhelming donations from member's homes and others who are downsizing their living quarters, these events have proved to be successful fundraisers each year.

A variety of leftover items and materials from Grace Lutheran's sales continue to "pay it forward," with miscellaneous donations going to Lutheran World Relief, Trinidad Lutheran Church in Humboldt Park, Operation Christmas Shoebox, Cayce's Charities in Thornton, Arkansas, and an El Salvador mission church.

Grace Lutheran Church is located at 5N600 Hanson Road, north of Route 64 and east of Route 47, just off Empire Road in St. Charles. Use the parking lot at the rear entrance to church for ease of accessibility. For details, call the church at (630) 365-6751 or www.graceoflilylake.com or www.facebook.com/GraceOfLilyLake/.
