Wheaton Holiday Housewalk benefits show choir

The fourth annual Wheaton Holiday Housewalk to support Wheaton North High School's show choir, Flight, is coming up in November.

Featuring four homes decorated for the holidays, the event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and may be purchased in Wheaton at Wheaton North High School, 701 W. Thomas Road; Ivy Restaurant, 120 N. Hale St.; and Carlson's Glass and Mirror, 312 W. Front St.

Tickets also are sold at Marcel's Culinary Experience, 490 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn. Tickets will be available on the tour at each home. The tour is limited to 1,000 people, first come, first served. All proceeds benefit Flight, its programming and activities.

The homes, all located in downtown Wheaton, are:

• 618 N. Gary Ave., a refurbished 1900s farmhouse decorated in a fusion of historic and modern features;

• 915 N. West St., a more than 4,000-square-foot frame-and-stone house built in 2009 with gothic features, Victorian gables and a double front porch;

• 205 E. Prairie Ave., a luxury home built in 2006 including a gourmet kitchen, terraces and sunroom; and

• 1106 N. West St., an English cottage built in 1948 with more than 3,000 square feet of living space.

"Our Holiday Housewalk has become an unofficial kick off to the holiday season," said Kassy Krause, director of Flight. "We are grateful to all of the homeowners for sharing their incredible homes with us and the people who are lucky enough to experience them, all while raising much needed funds for a great organization."

Attendees may visit homes in any order, and three homes are in walking distance of each other. No strollers are permitted and day-of tickets must be purchased with check or cash only.
