Use your creative side at Schaumburg Library's Workshop

A full listing of upcoming Workshop projects and opportunities is available in the Schaumburg Library's October-November Guide, which is mailed to Schaumburg Township residents, and online at www.SchaumburgLibrary.org.

All take place Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. and do not require registration or a fee.

Get ready for Halloween with Halloween Rock Painting Oct. 28. Rocks and paints will be available for creating Halloween and autumn-themed decorations.

On Nov. 4, use creativity and unwanted board games to make unique items, from journals to ornaments and more. Supplies will be provided, but anyone is welcome to bring an old board game.

Thanksgiving is the theme Nov. 11, with supplies available to make a turkey centerpiece or a leaf garland. Basic instructions will be provided, but each person will use their own artistic skills and imagination to make one-of-a-kind Thanksgiving decorations.

All ages are invited to create a rustic acorn banner Nov. 18 with a variety of autumn-hued papers and embellishments. Completed banners may be taken home and hung to add a seasonal look to a home.

Love puzzles? Come to the Workshop to make DIY Puzzles Nov. 25. Each person will receive their own blank puzzle to decorate and take home.
