Serve City Volleyball seeking girls for 12-U club teams

Serve City Volleyball Club in Wheaton has three more openings for players on its 12-and-under girls team that practices in Wheaton and three openings for its 12-U girls team that trains at Lifezone 360 in West Dundee.

Each team is open to girls who don't turn 13 until after Aug. 31, 2018, generally students in fifth and sixth grade.

Registration for Serve City's 12-U teams is open until Nov. 13 or until both teams have filled their rosters.

Email jsmith@servecityvolleyball.org for information on how to register for a spot on one of the teams.

Serve City's 12-U team begins practicing the week of Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.

The season includes eight to nine half-day tournaments at club facilities in the Chicago area as well as two 2-hour weeknight practices per week. Twelve and under club teams use a volley lite ball, which is half the weight of a regulation ball, and play on a seven-foot-high net instead of the standard 7 feet 4⅛ inches. The season concludes with an end-of-year club banquet on April 28.

Founded in 2013 in Chicago, Serve City features quality coaches, first-rate training and the most family-friendly club fees in the Chicago area. The full season club fee is only $1,045 plus a small uniform fee.
