Auditions set for 'Little Mermaid' production

Children and adults are invited to audition for Magical Starlight Theatre's January production of "The Little Mermaid."

Auditions will be Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28 and 29, at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville. Children must be in fourth grade or above to audition.

Actors younger than 16 may audition from 1 to 2:30 p.m. either Saturday or Sunday. Actors 16 and older may audition from 2:30 to 4 p.m. either day. Callbacks, if necessary, will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30.

Youth and adult actors are asked to prepare an up-tempo song highlighting their vocal range and to bring sheet music for the accompanist. There also will be a dance audition, a general movement audition and a cold reading from the script.
