Shree Jalaram Mandir Presents Dazzling Garba-Raas

"The Spinning Raas Garba Dancers, Clapped hands and Performed 6 steps Garba moves forming circles around the Mandir of the Goddess Durga Mataji, located in the center of the Floor; during the Raas Garba Round, which is the first-half session of two rounds, and then transitioning into Dandia session with Wooden Sticks Bumping together in Flawless Synchronization by Rocking Live Band and High Energized Garba Dancers, especially ladies including all ages wearing Colorful Gujarati Traditional Dresses. Many traditional Garba's are performed around a centrally lit lamp or a picture or statue of the Goddess Shakti".

This evening was also Blessed to have the Invited Guest a Famous Gujarati Playback Singer Bhikhudan Gadhvi accompanied by Rocking Band including Jayanti Kabira ( Keyboard Player), Jitu Hate ( Drum Player),Vijay Barot ( Dhol Player), Vasu ( Octopad player), on Friday, October 6, 2017, 7:30 pm at Bartlett Park District - Sports Complex, 700 S. Bartlett Rd, Bartlett, IL.

Jalaram Mandir has been organizing events in outstanding manner, Portraying Exclusive Example of Team Work; and the tremendous credit goes to the Board Members, Every Individual that participated with passion & enthusiasm, the Team work was reflect and Felt by the Audience. The Venue was a Full House! From the keyboard artist to the Garba Dancers including the Entire Team, full Enjoyment, Passion, and Enthusiasm was reflected. Damyantiben and her Rocking Team took the Audience of 2000+ people present at the venue, By Storm! This Annual Holy Event is celebrated in Honor of Goddess Durga Mataji.

"Gujarati's, who are core participants of this festivity, have Garba & Dandia in their heart". There were incredible participants of all ages of men and women of about 2000+ people, enjoying and celebrating the memorable evening. Many in the audience, especially ladies of all ages wore very Colorful and Stunning Traditional Dresses for this special occasion with appropriately matching ornaments and extravagant hairstyles. Navaratri Garba is very special as it honors Shakti in very rhythmic ways.

"We all love the whole atmosphere of colors, the clothes and of course, the music and then there is always the fun of dressing traditionally". Western dresses are replaced by Lengha-Choli, matching jewelry and foot wear. "Some prefer to wear traditional outfit while others go for modern look" When asked main purpose of organizing such event, members of Executive Board Members replied, "this type of "organized events promote "Gujarati, Indian Culture" to new generations and many other ethnicities!

Damyanti Bardai and the Team, began the evening by offering a prayer. The start of the Raas was with very famous and catchy Garba song ' Gori Radha Ne Kalo Kan". Damayantiben sung the most in demand and rhythmic ' Dada ho Dikari', Bhikhudan Ghadavi took the performance to the Next Level by performing the upbeat famous Gujarati Song ' Ho rang rasiya Kya Rami Avya Raas'. The evening was followed by mesmerizing rhythmic conventional Garba music with equally passionate and high energetic performance by the audience of traditional swirling dance around Mataji's heavenly symbolic presence turned in to shrine adorn with flowers and decorations. After the brief break and Aarti, the festive music of Dandiya-Raas commenced once again with the enthusiastic participants which lasted till early hours of the morning!

Deserving participants were also recognized at the event, Prizes were offered for the Best Costumes & Best Performances, these prizes were categorized for different age groups. First group of 1 to 10… for Costume was won by Harendra Bhaja & Disha Thakkar! For Best Performance was won by Diya Dave! Age Group 11 to 25 winners were, Monit Khandwala, Preyesh Shah & Payal Patel!

Winners were honored with a Gift Cards, Generously Donated by Delicious India Restaurant located in Naperville IL, Thumka Restaurant Located in Hoffman IL and Moti Bhai Rajput! Palakhi Boutique in Schaumburg IL, Caliber Coffee in Barrington IL, and Panera Bread. The Honorable Judges Vanlila Amin, Falguni Thakkar, Nancy Barot and Falguni Rana worked very hard to recognize each deserving participants. And so sure did a wonderful job. Every prize was donated to Mandir, and all the Judges had volunteered their valuable time.

The Entire Team inclusive of Board of Trusties, Executive Committee Members and Volunteer's; amazing efforts and efficient planning were reflected evidently by excellent security safety and parking arrangement. The Team demonstrated, well organized dedicated Team efforts with solid work-ethic. This multidimensional celebration of such a festive day of Navaratri would not have been possible without many generous Sponsors, Donors, and Advertisers.
