Wine, oils tasting to benefit Fox Valley Wildlife Center

Fox Valley Wildlife's Center second annual wine and oil tasting will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center, 3795 Campton Hills Drive, St. Charles. Tickets are $25 for preorder or $30 if purchased at the door.

There will be free tastings of fine wines, dipping oils and vinaigrettes, plus lots of appetizers and great conversation.

PRP Wines in Elk Grove Village will present eight fine international wines, talking about each one before guests are invited to taste. There is a Zinfandel, a dessert wine, Montepulciano, Malbec and many more.

Casa Tiene Vista Vineyard will bring 12 flavored olive oils, made at the vineyard and Modena, Italy. Also, there will be seven balsamic vinaigrettes.

Prepurchased tickets are recommended, however walk-ins are welcome.

All proceeds from this fundraiser goes toward the care of the more than 2,500 wild babies and injured adults coming into the center's care each year.
