Elgin Alive Series continues with Halloween radio show

The Elgin Community Network's "Elgin Alive Series" continues with "Elgin - The Mostly-Live 1938 Halloween Radio Show" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the Meadows Community Rooms A-B-C at Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in downtown Elgin.

It's a vintage 1938 original Halloween broadcast from the Necropolis Studio, filling your dead air in Elgin, bringing you scary stories, mysteries, the "Nightmarish News," and other grave topics to keep you sleepless and looking over your shoulder in the dead of the night. Creepy sound effects, plus another episode in the continuing saga of "The Vampire Hunts at Midnight."

Hosts Michael Murschel and Judi Brownfield will be joined on the "scarewaves" by Mary Kirkman, Beth Hitzeroth McDonald, and Jeff Myers.

The sponsors are Elgin Community Network, Gail Borden Public Library and the City of Elgin.
