Get in Halloween spirit at 'Sweet Science Night' Oct. 13

Spend this lucky Friday the 13th at the Elgin Public Museum to learn some scientific tricks and treats as you get into the spirit of Halloween!

Let your favorite candies teach you a cauldron full of cool lessons concerning density, acidity, chemical reactions and more during "Sweet Science Night" from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the museum, 225 Grand Blvd.

Discover the ghosts of M&Ms, the lightening inside Lifesavers, and why pop rocks explode. Different stations will be set up around the museum for kids and parents to trick-or-treat at before partaking in experiments and demonstrations.

Whether you prefer sweet or sour, you're bound to find your favorite goody at this spooky science night.

No registration or ticket is required for this drop-in program.
