Volunteer at habitat restoration work day Oct. 28

A habitat restoration work day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 28, at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve in Sugar Grove.

Seed gathering and distribution will be the focus. Please wear long sleeves and long pants to avoid poison ivy. Bliss Woods is on Bliss Road just northeast of Route 47 in Sugar Grove.

Bliss Road is under construction in that area; check the Kane Division of Transportation website at www.co.kane.il.us for information on how to get to the Forest Preserve entrance.

Refreshments will be served. Anyone younger than age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For further information, email Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net or call the Kane County Forest Preserve at (630) 232-5980.
