Indian Trails Library seeks community input on library use, services

Six months after opening its renovated and expanded building, Indian Trails Public Library District has begun the process of updating its strategic plan to help guide the development of future services and programs.

To assist with the planning, the library has posted a community survey on its website, www.itpld.org, to gather input from residents on how they use the library and what types of services, programs and materials they would like to see offered by the library.

"Input from our community is very important to us," said Brian Shepard, the library's executive director. "Each of our members has a unique perspective of what they need from the library and we hope to hear from as many people as possible."

The survey will be available until October 31 on the website. All information collected in the survey will be kept confidential and used for planning purposes only. A print version of the survey is available at the library upon request.

Questions about the survey or the strategic planning process can be directed to Susan Dennison, sdennison@itpld.org or 847.279.2222.
