Countryside Senior Golf League - 20 Years & Going Strong

The Countryside Senior Golf League, which has thrived in Lake County for the past 20+ years, has concluded this season on October 3 with our annual banquet held again at our favorite local restaurant, Dover Straits. 1st place awards were presented to Dan Smith, Clem Vath, Tom Powell, Vince Toja, and Marty Filson as champions in various divisions decided by golf handicaps. Other awards presented were for the lowest annual net score won by James Hommer with an outstanding 48 and the most improved golfer, Paul Herman. Finally, the award that most represent the ideals of the sport, "Sportsman of the Year," went to Libertyville resident, Brian Tischendorf.
