Head to Rolling Meadows for Hometown Hoedown

A fall fest with a Country-Western twist. That's what the city of Rolling Meadows is planning with its second annual Hometown Hoedown, set for 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Kimball Hill Park, 2905 Meadow Drive.

Admission is free. Activities include:

• Horse-drawn hayrides in beautiful Kimball Hill Park

• "Miss Jamie at the Farm" at 1:15 p.m. - children's entertainer featured on WGN

• Live country music from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

• $5 Cowboy cookout from 2 to 5 p.m.

• Square dancing at 2:15 p.m.

• Mini Donut food truck

• Harvest photo tent

• Kids crafts

• Bounce house and miniature golf
