Two churches to celebrate Reformation with 'Blocktober 2017'

To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia and St. Mark Lutheran Church in St. Charles invites the community to "Blocktober 2017," a community block party, on Sunday, Oct. 29.

The congregations will host a joint worship at 10:30 a.m. at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St. in downtown St. Charles. The public is invited to both the church service and Blocktober events.

The four pillars of the movement help center both historic Fox Valley congregations in grace alone, faith alone, scripture alone, and Jesus alone
