A novel presentation about the history of women's unmentionables throughout the decades will be given on Tuesday, October 17 as Elizabeth Carlson, a lecturer and costumed historian, will be the featured speaker of the monthly meeting for the Waukegan Area Branch of the American Association of University Women.
The meeting, rescheduled from October 10, begins at 7 p.m. at the Gurnee police department community room.
The presentation, which includes a display of some delicate pieces, will unveil some myths about women's underwear throughout the decades. Meetings are open to the public and membership to AAUW is open to anyone with an associate's degree or higher.
