Goodwin School hosts annual McTeacher's Night at the North Aurora McDonald's

On Thursday, Sept. 21, Goodwin School of West Aurora Unit District 129 held its annual McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the North Aurora McDonald's located at 190 Hansen Blvd.

A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales to the local school.

Twenty-five teachers and staff members worked at the restaurant serving up delicious meals to friends and families of Goodwin to help raise money for a spring 2018 motivational speaker/assembly. The teachers worked hard all night long cleaning counters, working the drive-up, making ice cream cones, and singing for tips! They all had a great time posing for pictures with the children and families.

A special thank you goes out to PTO Co-President Brian LoCicero, who organized the entire event as well as everyone that came and worked for the evening. The school raised a total of $718.25 during their McTecaher's Night.

The event was courtesy of the North Aurora McDonald's owner/operator, the Lardas family.
